Amit is a Partner at Bain & Company, where he has worked across a range of industries advising private, public and MNC firms as well as the Government of India. He leads Bain India's 'Industrial Goods and Services' practice with a deep focus on energy and power, and airlines sub-verticals. Prior to Bain, Amit worked at iGATE Patni, where he supported implementation of financial software for clients in Singapore and the USA. He began his career in 1994, as a graduate trainee engineer with Tata Motors in Jamshedpur.
Amit is a member of the CII national committee on the power sector. In 2012, he was selected for Aspen India's leadership 'fellow' program. He holds a dual MBA (Finance and Strategy) from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was also awarded the Palmer and Siebel Scholarships. In addition, he holds degrees in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) from the Birla Institute of Technology (India).
Amit resides in Gurgaon with his wife and their two daughters. He is an avid sportsman with a huge interest in soccer, cricket - and now (increasingly) tennis and golf!
