Day 01: Arrival in Guwahati | Sightseeing in Guwahati

Upon your arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, transfer to the hotel. En route, visit some popular tourist attractions in the region. The first site to explore here is Kamakhya Temple. Situated on Neelachal Parbat, it has an elongated structure with five domes above its sanctum. From here, move to Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, an informative museum dedicated to the state culture. Post the sightseeing jaunt, move to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 02: Visit to Navagraha Temple| Guwahati to Shillong (approx 100 km | 2.5 Hours)

After a delicious breakfast, check-out from the hotel and travel to Navagraha Temple. Located at the top of Chitrasal Hill, Navagraha Temple is a centre of astrological and astronomical research. The site, built by King Rajeswar Singha of the Ahom kingdom in the 18^th century, houses nine Shiva Lingas that represent the nine celestial bodies. Day 03: Shillong to Cherrapunjee (approx. 67 km | 2 hours)

Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel and head to Cherrapunjee. On arrival at the resort in Cherrapunjee, check-in and later go for trekking in the nearby forests. Going downhill from the resort and passing through Wahkhim (Sohsarat) village, explore the diverse flora and fauna of the jungle. The main attraction of this forest is the handmade living root bridges. These structures have been used to cross narrow streams and gaps by the local inhabitants for a long time. After the trekking expedition, return to the resort and enjoy a folk music performance. Later, enjoy an overnight stay at the resort.

On the way to Cherrapunjee from Shillong, visit two tourist attractions, namely Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. Day 05: Shillong to Guwahati (approx. 100 km | 2.5 hours)

Post breakfast, drive to Guwahati and on reaching the city, transfer to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport to board the flight to your next destination.
