The Chardham Yatra is a pilgrimage tour of four sacred Hindu temples in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath are the four temples that comprise Chota Char Dham (small four abodes).

The first stop on the yatra is Yamunotri, where devotees pray to the goddess Yamuna. The pilgrimage continues to Gangotri, where devotees worship the goddess Ganga. The third stop is Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, where devotees pay homage to Lord Shiva. The final stop on the yatra is Badrinath, where devotees pray to Lord Vishnu.

DAY WISE ITINERARY -

Day 1: Haridwar to Barkot 

Proceed towards Barkot, drive for 6 to 7 hours to camp. A night’s stay. Barkot is an ideal place to stay for pilgrims to Shri Yamunotri. It is located 45 kilometres before the temple and offers panoramic views of the Bandar Punch Peaks.

Day 2 : Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (140kms)

We will drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti early in the morning, and the trek to Yamunotri will begin from here (6kms). Either by foot, horseback, or Doli at your own expense. The trail winds through a lush green valley filled with conifers, rhododendrons, cacti, and various Himalayan shrub species.

Day 3 : Barkot -Uttarkashi (155 Kms / 6-7 Hrs)

The distance between Barkot and Uttarkashi is about 80 kilometres, and the drive takes about 3-4 hours.

The route winds through beautiful scenery, with views of hills, forests, and river valleys. You will pass through several small villages along the way, where you can take a break and enjoy the local food and culture.

Later, visit Vishwanath Temple. Overnight stay in Hotel/Guest House/Home Stay

Day 4 : Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 Kms / Trek 03 Hrs one side)

After breakfast, We depart for Gangotri, The distance between Uttarkashi and Gangotri is approximately 100 kilometres, and it takes approximately 4 hours to travel by road. The road is scenic, winding through valleys, dense forests, and rocky terrain. You will pass through many small villages along the way, where you can take a break and enjoy the local food and culture.

When you arrive in Gangotri, you can pay a visit to the Gangotri temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Ganga and is thought to be the source of the holy Ganges. You can also engage in activities such as trekking, camping, and rock climbing, or simply relax and enjoy the area’s stunning natural beauty.

After spending time in Gangotri, return to Uttarkashi and explore the town. You can visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, and the Shakti Temple in Uttarkashi, which is known for its ancient temples and ashrams. Overnight stay in Hotel/Guest House/Home Stay.
 

Day 5 – Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (220 Kms / 09 Hrs)

Uttarkashi to Gangotri is a popular pilgrimage and tourist route in the Indian state of Uttarakhand that leads to the Gangotri temple, one of the four holy shrines of Hinduism’s Chota Char Dham Yatra.

The distance between Uttarkashi and Gangotri is approximately 100 kilometres, and it takes approximately 4 hours to travel by road. The road is scenic, winding through valleys, dense forests, and rocky terrain. You will pass through many small villages along the way, where you can take a break and enjoy the local food and culture.

Gangotri is 3,100 metres above sea level and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, making it a popular trekking destination as well. The Gangotri temple is dedicated to the goddess Ganga and is thought to be the source of the sacred Ganges River.

Day 6 – Kedarnath Darshan

After breakfast, depart for Kedarnath Dham. Enjoy your Kedarnath Darshan and return to your hotel. Stay the night in Kedarnath.

Our driver will transfer you to your pre-booked Helipad by helicopter in the morning. Following the completion of pooja and Darshan (note: helicopter ticket is not included in this package).

You can also trek to Kedarnath (15 km / 08-09 hours per side).

You will drive until Sonprayag (vehicles are permitted up to this point) and then take a local Bolero/Max to Gaurikund. Gaurikund – The trek to Kedarnath begins here. Once there, perform pooja and Darshan. Later, check into a hotel in Kedarnath for the night.

Day 7 : Kedarnath- Guptkashi

You get up before dawn, take a bath, and arrive at the temple by 4:45 a.m. for the ‘Abhishek’ to Kedarnath Shiva. Trek down to Sonprayag after Temple Darshan. Continue on to Guptkashi.

The day is free.
Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel are included.

Day 8 : Guptkashi to PipalKoti

Today we will drive from Guptkashi to PipalKoti. Night Stay at PipalKoti.

Drive - 120kms, 5-6 hours

Day 9- Pepalkoti – Badrinath- Pepalkoti (150 Kms / 6Hrs)

Drive to Badrinath in the morning after breakfast. Pilgrims have Darshan of Badrivishal and Aarti in the evening after taking a bath in the Taptkund. Brahamakapal is significant for ancestor Pinddan Shraddh (Pitrus). Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the Saraswati River’s “Mukh” are also highly visited tourist attractions near Badrinath. Overnight stay in Pepalkoti.

Day 10 – Pepalkoti – Haridwar (240 Kms / 9 Hrs)

Today is the final day of our journey, We will Return back to Haridwar

The distance between Pipalkoti and Haridwar is approximately 220 km, and travelling by road takes approximately 7-8 hours.

The route winds through beautiful scenery, with views of hills, forests, and river valleys. You’ll pass through several small towns and villages along the way, where you can take a break and enjoy the local food and culture.

Haridwar is a sacred city on the banks of the Ganges River and one of Hinduism’s seven holiest places. It is well-known for its ghats and temples and is a popular Hindu pilgrimage site. The Har Ki Pauri ghat, the Chandi Devi Temple, and the Mansa Devi Temple are among the most popular attractions in Haridwar.

Our journey comes to an end when we arrive in Haridwar.
