Spiti is a desert mountain valley that lies in the north-eastern part of Himachal Pradesh in India. The culture and people of Spiti are much similar to that of Tibet and Ladakh. These cultures and traditions are over 1000 years old like its monasteries, which are unchanged for centuries. The scenic landscapes, suspended glaciers, wide snowfields, lush green valleys and the sun-kissed snow peaks make it an exceptionally picturesque place. We have more than this to offer when you join the Delhi Spiti Motorbike Expedition – a thrilling motorbike trip!
The Spiti road loop is one of Asia’s greatest road trips; the mountain bikers pit themselves against one of the most challenging roads in India. You will be thrilled to ride on those roads. Once you have lived with them for any length of time, you belong to them. There is no escape.” Mountains are like a second home to many of us. We went there once, and we left a part of our souls behind. Barren but beautiful Spiti Valley is located at an average altitude of 12,500 feet above sea-level. The high mountains, snowy peaks, pristine Spiti River and the blend of arid and lush landscapes make the place breathtaking!
Spiti Valley has stunning lakes and landscapes tucked away in the deep valleys for you to discover. The Spiti Valley bike trip will take you to the most beautiful spots in the Valley. To enter the valley you have to pass the enchanting Kinnaur Valley and then through Nako, you will reach Kaza.
Kaza is the only large settlement in this empty corner of the world. It is the capital of Lahaul and Spiti Valley, and also the base for many trekking and mountaineering adventures to Pin Parvati, Parang La and Pin Bhaba. The trip gives you an amazing opportunity to get to know the locals and their distinct culture. Spiti is home to the highest village in Asia, Komic, with few countable settlements. The highest post office is located in Hikkim, and visiting it would be an experience of a lifetime, and to send a postcard from there would be the icing on the cake! The ever-changing hues of Chandratal Lake will spellbind you.
Life does not give you many chances to explore such exquisite places, and when it does you should just grab them with both hands. You will travel to a different side of India, you will take the less travelled roads and you will explore the unexplored!
