A UNESCO world heritage site, Kaziranga National Park is famous as it hosts two-third of the world’s great one-Horned Rhinoceros. Guwahati Kaziranga Nature Tour at Kaziranga national park will give you the best encounter with wildlife. It is not only the homeland of the Rhinoceros but also provides shelter to a variety of other wildlife like tigers, elephant, panthers, bear, water buffalo, swamp deer and different species of birds. It is the oldest park in Assam along the floodplains of the river Brahmaputra on the north, and Kabri Anglong hills on the south. With the sheer forest, tall elephant grass, rugged reels and shallow pool, it is the best place to experience raw nature.
You would also be visiting the popular Kamakhya Temple on this tour which is situated at the top of Nilachal Hill at about 800 feet above sea level in the Western part of Guwahati city. This temple was destroyed in early 16th century and then rebuilt in the 17th century by king Nara Narayana of Cooch Bihar. According to various myths and traditions, there are 51 pieces of Sati's body scattered across the Indian subcontinent.
