ITINERARY:

Day 01: Manali - Chika
Manali is a magnificent hill station surrounded by the majestic Himalayas. Buses or cabs from Delhi or Chandigarh are easily available. Reach Manali on your own which is the base camp of our Hampta Pass Trek with Spiti Valley Culture Tour. We will start trekking through lush meadows, few water streams and scenic landscapes to reach Chika, our first stop of the trek. We will camp for the night by a water stream and we will be able to spot views of a serene waterfall nearby.

Day 02: Chika - Bhalu ka Ghera
Start your day with a healthy breakfast and leave for your next destination, Bhalu ka Ghera. The trek is mostly steep and long, so it will take us around 4-5 hours to reach our campsite. We will cross the river and walk along beautiful flower meadows on the way. Reach the campsite and rest for the day while enjoying the scenic beauty of the place.

Day 03: Bhalu Ka Ghera - Hampta Pass – Siagoru
As it will be a long trek, we will start early to reach Siagoru crossing Hampta Pass. Upon reaching Hampta Pass which lies at an altitude of 14,100 feet, you will be stunned to see its beauty! The entire place will be covered in snow and it will look like a wonderland. After the steep climb to the Pass, we will start descending on a steep trail to reach our campsite at Siagoru.

Day 04: Siagoru – Chatru – Kaza (Drive)
We will have our breakfast and start trekking to Chatru crossing a small stream. The descent is easy until you reach the rocky trail. Reach Chatru in 2 -3 hours and from there we will drive you to Kaza. On the way visit the Chandra River located perfectly with the backdrop of snowy mountains. We will stop at Chandra Dhaba at Batal for lunch, run by an old couple, fondly called Chacha Chachi. They saved lives of 110 people in June 2010 and were recognised by the president for their philanthropy and bravery. We will spend the night at a homestay in Kaza.

Day 05: Key, Kibber, Demul, Langza and Komic
Today we will see the magic of the distinctive Buddhist Tibetan culture. Key Monastery is one of the most spectacular structures we will come across in the valley. The 1000 year old monastery is placed by the Spiti River like a jewel. Passing through the blend of raw and lush landscapes we will reach Kibber. Located at a height of 14,200 feet, Kibber is claimed to be the highest motorable village in the world. We will also drive to one of the remotest villages in the valley. We will head to Langza to admire the view of the Giant Buddha statue against the backdrop of snow clad mountains; it is a sight to behold. We will now leave for Komic Village, it is said to be the highest inhabited village in Asia that has not more than 12 houses. Spend the night in Langza or a nearby village.

Day 06: Kaza – Chandratal
It will be a beautiful day amidst the Himalayas sitting by the magnificent Chandratal Lake. The shape of the lake is like the moon and hence the name. Crossing Kunzum Pass with fluttering prayer flags all around us, we will reach the pristine lake. Just gaze at the panoramic views of the Chandra Bhaga Range and see how sky plays around with the Lake and changes its colour. Spend the night by the lake in camps overlooking the Chandrabhaga Peak.

Day 07: Chandratal – Manali
After taking in the beauty of the sunrise by the lake, we will leave for Manali. We will reach Manali by early afternoon. You can choose to take a bus back home the same day. Our Hampta Pass Trek with Spiti Valley Culture Tour concludes at Manali.
