1. What time of the day does the rides is organised?
Hot air ballooning at Lonavala is organised generally two hours before dawn and about two hours before dusk. These are the times when winds are the most stable. The time for these amazing flights varies across the year, depending on different seasons; however, they are arranged around 5.30 am in the morning and 4 pm in the afternoon. There is less chance of cancellation of morning flights as compared to the evening ones.
2. What is the duration of a flight? How high does the balloon fly?
You would be in the flight for about an hour, but the whole experience takes around 3 hours. The balloons are flown at different heights and here, the maximum height to which it is taken is 1200 feet. However, the height at which it has to be flown depends on the topography of the area and the prevailing weather conditions.
3. What happens, in case, the weather is unsuitable for a flight?
This activity is completely dependent on weather conditions. In India, most times, the weather remains favourable for ballooning. However, in case, the weather is unsuitable for the activity to be organised, guests will be informed in advance as safety of the guests comes first.
4. How many people can be accommodated in the balloon?
A total of 4-8 persons can be accommodated in a standard flight.
5. Is there any an age or weight restriction for this activity? Are pregnant women allowed on-board a flight?
Children aged 5 years and above with height more than 1.5 m are allowed while there is no upper age limit. Since, the whole activity in the air is for close to an hour, you must be fit enough to stand for the entire duration. Pregnant ladies are not permitted on-board the hot air balloon.

The experience was really great. On the schedule date i got a call from a crew member for the pickup at sharp 4:55 a.m. We reached on the takeoff site right on time. We were informed that the ride is canceled due to bad weather. and me be schedule tomorrow at same time and we will be informed regarding the same. I was little disappointed due to cancellation. However next day was fantastic as we had taken off after the entire process of inflating the balloon in front of us. The captain was awesome and he took us around and for the first time in my life i saw sunrise from sky. we also flew over the dam and it was like dream come true. the landing was perfect and much smoother then it was told to us before takeoff. Overall the whole crew is fantastic, very disciplined, and friendly. Thanks to all for making our trip a memorable one.
