Tibetan culture found in abundance in the valley is also a worthy attraction. Monasteries, local eateries, breathtaking beauty and a vibrant culture are some of the few reasons you should visit.

ITINERARY
Day 1: MANALI-CHATRU
Start the first day of your adventure tour to Chandratal. Your destination for the day is Chattru (13000 ft) which is about 32 kms from Rohtang Top. You will first ascend to Rohtang Pass and then reach Rohtang Top amidst traffic and top it off with a gruelling journey on Gramphoo Batal stretch. You will also get to look at the Leh-Manali highway. From here, it will get less and less greener, however, a number of waterfalls will catch your eye. From Gramphoo to Chatru, the pebbled road will take an hour.
Chatru is a beautiful little village. Upon arrival, explore the area and delve in the aesthetically pleasing environs. You can eat at a couple of dhabas in the area. Later, enjoy bonfire+dinner and the joy of camping. Stay overnight in camps.
Day 2: CHATRU - CHANDRATAL
Wake up in the early morning to a refreshing scene in the mountains. The destination of the day is Chandratal Lake i.e., Moon Lake, the glistening lake is an exhilarating sight.
Start your day by making a tiring journey of a hour and a half to Batal. There will be marked change in the landscape from here on. From Batal to Chandratal, it is a bumpy terrain that has plenty of streams crossing tracks with you.
Chandratal lake can not be used for camping so you will be camping about 3-4 kms from the lake. Stay and enjoy photographing and relaxing by the side of Chandratal.
Later, trace your steps to the camp. Enjoy the starlit camping experience. Stay overnight in camps.
Day 3: CHANDRATAL- MANALI
Start your day as early as possible. You have a journey of 123 kms to cover. This is going to take 7-8 hours. You will follow the same route that you took to get to Chandratal.
Reach Manali around evening. This marks the end of your journey.
