Lobuche East Peak Expedition is one of the most popular peak-adventures in Nepal, nestled on the path to Everest Base Camp. This trek is taken by trekkers who wish to see Mt. Everest and Khumbu valley from its peak point. The climb is upwards and requires physical fitness due to its steepness. You will also get some training tips and climbing skills from your trek leader, as you might face certain hurdles, but if you keep up your spirit high, you will pass the obstacles easily.

 

The trail of Lobuche East Peak is so beautiful that while hiking you will get an adrenaline rush to reach the pinnacle point. You will get glorious views of Ama Dablam, Tawache and Mt. Everest. There are numerous routes to Lobuche East Peak Climb in Nepal, however you will follow the route that starts from Namche Bazaar to Khumjung and then to Chhukung village via Tengboche and Dingboche. Moving further, the trail goes to Kala Pathar via Lobuche. Next you will proceed to Lobuche East High camp and then to the summit point of Lobuche East Peak. After spending an ample amount of time, you will descend to Pangboche and then back to Namche Bazaar.

 

The best time to climb to Lobuche East Peak in Nepal is between April to May and October to November. We recommend you to climb in post winters and post monsoon period, as the weather might not hamper your trekking schedule. We start and end in Kathmandu and over a period of 16 days, passing through various scenic valleys, little villages, passes and green meadows. Some days will be extremely challenging and the others relatively easy. One thing that you can be certain about is that each day would be more memorable than the last in Lobuche East Peak Expedition.

 

ITINERARY

 

Day 1 : Arrive At Kathmandu

On arriving in Kathmandu, you will meet with our team at the Tribhuvan International Airport who will transfer you to the pre-booked hostel. Later in the day, have an interaction with your trekking guides and Sherpas. In the evening, you can head out to explore the tourist markets, which are lined up with trekking gear sold at cheap prices.

 

Day 2 : Transfer to airport and schedule flight to Lukla (2840m). Trek to Phakding (2610m)

Wake up to a beautiful morning, after freshening up, you will be transferred to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport to board a flight from Lukla (2,800 m). Enroute, you will be engage with beautiful environs of the terrain. Upon arrival at Lukla airport, meet with the other trekking members and head with them towards the starting point of the trek. You will begin the hike to Phakding. On reaching, explore the nearby monasteries and scenery points. Stay overnight in one of the teahouse in Phakding.    

 

Day 3 : Trek to Namche Bazar (7.4 km | 3-4 hrs | 3,440m)

Today you will head-out to the first suspension bridge of this trek. While climbing, you might spectacle little tea-houses and shops. You will see amazing view of Mt. Everest hidden behind Lhotse-Nuptse and Mt. Kusum Khangru. Stay overnight at a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

 

Day 4 : Trek to Khumjung for acclimatization (15 km | 8-9 hrs | 3,790m)

Wake up to the beautiful sunrise and get ready to trek to Khumjung. Today head to the beautiful village of Sherpas. Staying in Khumbu region will also prepare you for acclimatization, meaning you might not face any high-mountain sickness further. In the evening you will head back to Namche Bazaar where you will stay for overnight in your pre-booked teahouse.

 

Day 5 : Trek to Tengboche Monastery (11 km | 6-7 hrs | 3,870 m)

In the morning proceed the trek to Tengboche. While hiking, train your sight on the majestic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Ama Dablam and Thamserku. This trail is beautifully laden with rhododendron trees where you might even pot some Himalayan wildlife. A strenuous ascent will take you to Tengboche monastery. Overnight stay in a teahouse in Tengboche.

 

Day 6 : Trek to Dingboche (5-6 hrs | 4,358m)

In the morning, start from Tengboche and hike on the fascinating trail To Dingboche. It will take you 5-6 hours to reach the designated destination. Enjoy the close-up of Mt. Ama Dablam. Overnight stay in a teahouse.

 

Day 7 : Trek to Chhukung (7.7 km | 3-4 hrs | 4,730m)

In the morning, you will begin the trek to Chhukung, the trail is a continuous ascent till you reach. On the way, you will see beautiful mountain views of in and around the valley. In the evening, return back to stay overnight in Dingboche.

 

Day 8 : Trek to Lobuche

Today, start your day from a climb to Lobuche, enjoy the views of Chola Lake and a majestic view of Mt. Pumori. Look at the numerous memorials of Sherpas here. Spot majestic peaks from this point, including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. Hike up to Lobuche. Overnight stay here.

 

Day 9 : Trek to Kala Patthar and trek back to Lobuche (5,550m)

Today morning, your first task for today is climbing the peak, called Kala Patthar or Black Rock. From the summit point, you will be able to see several of the highest summits in the world. Later, make a short descent to reach Lobuche.

 

Day 10 : Trek to Lobuche East High Camp (2.5 km | 1 hr | 6119 m)

Today, you will trek to the main part of the trek. After freshening up head-out to Lobuche East High Camp, set at an elevation of 5100 m. The climb will slightly difficult, so numerous breaks will be given to you to take a breath. On reaching, rest adequately as you will have to prepare for the summit. Overnight stay at camps.

 

Day 11 : Lobuche East peak Summit and Return to High Camp

Today, get up early to summit the Lobuche East Peak and then you will descent back to the high camp. Spectacle hypnotic views of some of the highest mountain peaks in the world, the magnificent view will amaze you. On reaching the top, click some pictures and then return back to the high camp. Overnight stay in the high camp tents.

 

Day 12 : Trek to Pangboche (9 km | 5-6 hrs | 3,930m)

Wake to the beautiful sunrise, and embark the trek to the beautiful Pangboche in the Khumbu region. It is an exciting and one of the best ways to explore the legendary Buddhist monasteries of this region. Overnight stay at Pangboche in a lodge or a tea-house.

 

Day 13 : Trek to Namche Bazar

Today trek downhill to Namche Bazaar where you can completely give adequate rest to your body. Explore the nearby surroundings in Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay in tea-house.

 

Day 14 : Trek to Lukla (13 km | 7-8 hrs | 2,860 m)

Today start your day by trekking towards Lukla. This is the last day of your EBC trek. Overnight stay in teahouse.

 

Day 15 : Lukla to Kathmandu

Fly back to Kathmandu today from Lukla. It will take you 30 minutes. On your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you will be transferred to your pre-booked stay.

 

Day 16 : Departure

In the morning according to your flight timings you will be transferred to the International Airport.

  8. Tourist visa for Nepal and international flights to/from Kathmandu
  9. Group pick up from Kathmandu International Airport  on arrival will be at 1400 HRS,and drop will be at 11:30am guest have to report at airport before that to avail the pick up. 
  10. If somebody wants a pick up anytime other than the group pick up/drop  time the cost will be Rs. 900/- plus taxes per vehicle and 05 people can travel at a time
