Take a journey through the breathtaking trails of Himachal Pradesh and witness the beauty of the Himalayan Lake on the trek to Rani Sui Lake. Take a break away from the pollution and hustle bustle of the city and spend the weekend amidst the alluring mountains of Himachal Pradesh. With many trekking options, Manali servers as the base camp for many majestic treks in the Himalayas. Traverse the beautiful and untouched meadows of this valley and get marvellous view of Manaslu Glacier, Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal Ranges including Hanuman Tibba, Deo Tibba and Rohtang Pass.
 

Our trek starts from Manali, a beautiful hill station encircled by snow-capped mountains and dense lush forest. We will stay in Old Manali, that has still maintained its charm and it is one of the best places to stay in Manali. Explore the town and spend some time by Beas River for an unforgettable experience. Our next stop will be Lama Dugh, a plateau studded with vibrant and lush alpine flowers. The very next day we will trek up to the enchanting Rani Sui, a fairly moderate trek which is on the way to Kalihani Pass and Bara Bhangal. With the changing landscapes of mountains and meadows, Rani Sui trek is a photographer’s paradise. As we descend the next day, we will trek through steep ridge below Khanpari Tibba. Admire the beautiful view of the whole upper Kullu and Manali situated perfectly by Beas River. After spending a night at Duddu Thatch which offers a 360 degree view of the entire Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar Ranges, we will descend down to Manali.

Itinerary:

 

Day 1 - Manali – Lama Dugh (8 km | 4-5 hours | 9898 feet)

You will start by arriving at the starting point of the Lamadugh Trek and begin walking uphill. On the way to the top, you will get some mesmerizing views of the mountains of Indrasan, Deo Tibba and peaks of Bara Shigri Glacier. On the last climb, you will be crossing a ridge which finally lets you into the High Altitude Meadow. Stay overnight in tents.

 

Day 2 - Lama Dugh – Rani Sui Lake – Duddu Thatch (11 km | 8-9 hours | 11154 feet)

After an early breakfast prepared by your guide, you will start the walk for the day, which starts to get steeper after about a km.
After a few hours, you will arrive at the Rani Sui Lake, from where you get amazing views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar Ranges.
Spend some time here before descending down to Duddu Thatch through meadows and forests of pine, maple, horse chestnut, and walnut. Stay overnight at tents.

 

Day 3 - Duddu Thatch – Khaniyal – Manali (3 km)

The descent to Manali today will take you through forests of pine to finally arrive at Khaniyal. This where the experience will come to an end.
