Shikhar Nature Resorts Uttarkashi is a beautiful 4-acre property, located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. It is managed and run by one of the most reputed hospitality firms in Uttarakhand. Your stay will be in well-equipped Swiss-style tents, set on grassy river banks and amidst lots of trees. All tents are spacious and feature twin beds, comfortable chairs, table fans, blankets, bedside tables and tea tables. Every canopy also has an attached bathroom with showers, 24-hour running water and western-style toilets. The running water is generally cold, but you may request for hot water in winters. There are even shaded porches in front of every tent, where you can sit on the chairs and look at the gushing river and the mountains, surrounding the campsite. By Road: Uttarkashi can be easily reached from across the country via a good network of roads. From Delhi, you can come here directly via Rishikesh or Dehradun. Apart from these, the city is also connected by road to other important cities in the state, such as Haridwar.
By Train:
The nearest railway station from Uttarkashi is in Haridwar, which can be reached by train from Delhi.
By Air:
You can book flights till Jolly Grant Airport near Dehradun and then complete the rest of the journey by road.
Season:
The best time to come here is between September and November or between April and June.
