A 5-km trek, Uttari Betta trek is one of Karnataka’s most popular excursion that takes you to spectacular green landscape nowhere to be found in the city region. Quite similar to the Western Ghats, trekking to Uttari Betta commences from a tiny village which opens up to fort walls and then goes through seven doors of stone to reach the midpoint of the trek that houses the temple of Shankareshwar at the peak. The view from the pinnacle point is extremely beautiful to capture. After crossing the temple, you will encounter a small jungle-cave that ends at the lush green pastureland at the top of the hill, encompassed by huge boulders. After spending some quality time with your friends or family and relishing your lunch at a lofty height, you will descend backward to the starting point of the trek. Make sure to hike down carefully in the dark, while being charmed by the loveliness of the hill at night. Itinenary for Uttari Betta Day Trek:
Day 1:
We will leave for this one day trek at a young hour during the day, so make a point to rest a night prior to the trek. When we attain the base of the trek, which is a little town, we will set out on an adventure that you won't ever forget.
In the wake of strolling for a decent amount of time, you will come across a fort that has seven door of stone, taking you to a different universe.
When you pass the fort, you will see the temple of Shankareswar. On reaching, make a point to take in the wonderful view, click pictures and have your lunch at this spot, where the quietness give you utmost contentment for the gruelling trek you did.
After viewing the magnificence at the highest point of the slope, walk towards the cave-jungle that will have you charmed by its whole excellence. Only for a minute, leave every though you have and just see the beauty of the diverse universe in front of you.
The trail will end when you reach a gigantic meadow at the highest point of the slope, which will be encompassed by enormous stones. You will watch the striking sunset at this spot, along with green grass, clear blue skies and dim dark stones. Following the exquisite sunset, we will start our plummet back to the base camp. Make sure to hike down cautiously, while being captivated by the magnificence of a slope during the night.
