Wherever there are raging rivers, there will be white water rafting available for you to enjoy. The Kundalika River, which originates in the Sahyadri Range and drains into the Arabian Sea, offers excellent opportunities for this high-thrill activity. There is a dam, built on the river, from where water is released for irrigation, and this water is used to organise such adrenaline-pumping expeditions. The currents of the water, released from the dam, are strong and the flow is fast. A downstream stretch of roughly 12 kilometres in length is utilised for such river rafting adventure tours. This stretch of the Kundalika is rated between IV and IV+ as per the international regulations. It means that the rapids and the currents are a challenge to conquer and require a high amount of balance and concentration.

There are some calm sections of the river that are ideal for floating and enjoying boat rides, past beautiful landscapes. You will enjoy this thrilling recreational sport under the strict and watchful supervision of trained experts, who are motivated people and who value personal attention and teamwork highly. Should you be thrown off the raft into the raging river, you will be immediately rescued by avid swimmers, who will also accompany you for this white water rafting activity. They are mature, responsible and well-versed in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and other means of artificial respiration, so you do not have anything to worry about. Once you know the basics of this activity, you are can go for river rafting adventure tours on the Kundalika.

The highest standards and all international rules and regulations are followed in every such expedition. Before you head out on the inflatable rubber raft, you will be given a thorough and hugely informative briefing about the sport; what you need to do and what you need to avoid. This theory session will also aim to teach you some basic skills, without which you will not be able to undertake the activity. You will be then taken to a swimming pool for a practical understanding of the basics, but absolutely essential white water rafting skills that you were briefed about. This practical session will also make you more comfortable on the water and in the raft. Should a question or a doubt arise in your mind about such river rafting adventure tours, they should be asked and cleared immediately. As the instructors are concerned and responsible for your safety, they will promptly answer all of your queries.

You will be provided with all the equipment including the raft, oars, life jackets and helmets. Non-swimmers are always welcome to engage in this heartbeat-rushing sport; be sure that your practical sessions in the swimming pool and the briefing will be enough to prepare you for it. To relish the sport, you have to be aged between 15 and 60. Such an age restriction ensures that you are strong enough to row and control the direction of your boat.
