Note: The forest gates at Karnataka and Tamil Nadu close between 21:00 hrs to 06:00 hrs. Therefore the guests have to plan the drive accordingly.
How to Reach:
By Road
Just before entering Mysore from Bangalore, turn left at Colimbia Asia hospital junction on the main highway onto the new Outer Ring Road.
Approximately 13kms down the Ring Road, take the exit to the right leading to Ooty. 71 kms later is the Jungle Lodges on the left side, continue to drive straight through Bandipur National Park.
Just 4 kms straight ahead is the Bandipur Forest Department campus at which you take the left turn. 8 kms down this road is The Serai Bandipur. Property signs direct you along the way.
By Rail

The Clothing:
The temperature in Bandipur hovers between 28°C in summer and 10°C in winter. If you’re travelling in summer, take tees and shorts, except for the evenings when mosquitoes like to show you they love you too. In the winter, come in with woollens and mufflers and light shawls. Always wear clothes in earthy colours of khaki or brown, and not bright colours as they distract animals. Except for the monsoons, this is a dry region, and dusty. Come prepared. Carry water and tissues with you (which you need to take back, used or not). Wear sneakers and caps and sunscreen lotion and get ready for the time of your life.
