Acclaimed a World Heritage Site in the year 1985, Kaziranga National Park is home to two third of the world’s great One - horned Rhinoceroses. Wildlife Tour at Kaziranga National Park will give you one of the best adventure experiences. It lies on the banks of River Brahmaputra and falls in between the two districts of Assam- Golaghat and Nagaon, at the edge of the eastern Himalayas. It is also one of the biggest breeding grounds for elephants, wild water buffalo and wild boars and jungle cats. Apart from its rich animal diversity, it thrives in Flora and Avifauna.
What is most intriguing about the park is its landscape. India is famous for its many national parks and for what each of them preserves. Kaziranga is one such park which is very soothing to your eyes as it provides ample greenery as you wade through the enormous elephant grass, marshlands and swamplands during your jeep safaris or elephant rides. It is because of the increased flood waters of Brahmaputra River during the monsoons, that the park soil is highly fertile and offers a great opportunity to all birding enthusiasts as well.
The best season to take a wildlife tour at Kaziranga National Park is from November to April. The park remains closed from June to September as it gets affected by the heavy monsoon in Assam. For all wildlife, photography and birding enthusiasts, Kaziranga should be in their bucket list to tick off this winter season.
